Loos Homes & Gremar LLC Under Contract to Buy Lake Mills Golf Course to Develop Single Family Homes

Lake Mills, WI – December 3, 2025

David Werning, General Manager of Loos Homes and Director of Land Development for Gremar LLC, confirmed that the companies are under contract with the owners of the Lake Mills Golf Club to purchase the 140-acre site to develop single-family homes and preserve green space. Originally applying to amend the Master Land Use Plan and rezone the site, Werning has responded to community comments and decided to include conceptual planning with the municipal process, possibly in January at Plan Commission.

“We are a local company committed to quality building and honest communication,” said Werning. “Economic development analyses indicate that the city of Lake Mills would benefit from more single-family housing to serve residents and employers. Besides adding to the taxbase, a new neighborhood of $500K homes adds to the vitality of the entire area.”

Edge Field Development Update

This week, crews completed excavation and grading of the detention pond, a critical component of the site’s infrastructure. Ryan Ridge Road has also been cut in, paving the way for underground sewer installation to begin next.
